Travel Resources

When it comes to planning your travels, there are so many moving pieces. Flights, hotels, transportation, experiences - it can be overwhelming! To save you from scouring the internet trying to plan an epic trip or vacation, I’ve compiled everything onto this page for your convenience.

**** Disclaimer! These links are affiliate links, and while booking through my links adds no extra cost to you, it helps fund my travels! I’ll love you forever, so it’s a win-win situation:) Next time you book a trip I would love if you came back here and supported me in this way! ******

Transportation

Skyscanner - This is one of the best options for booking flights. Additionally, they have a unique feature that allows you to search flights to anywhere, and filter by price. This is perfect if you’re not picky and looking for adventure! I love seeing where I could go for the money that’s available to me at the time.

Student Universe - If you are between the ages of 18-25, you can book on Student Universe! Even if you aren’t, they still have some pretty cool features that can help you when booking flights on another platform. Among these super cool features is the “flexible” option, where they show you the cheapest days to depart and return. If you don’t qualify to book on student universe, you can still use your new knowledge of theses cheapest days to fly when inputting dates into another platform.

Accommodation

Booking - if you’re heading anywhere in the world, you can always rely on booking.com. They are the biggest hotel booking platform and you’re sure to find something that fits all your needs perfectly.

Agoda - Although booking is generally your best bet, if you’re headed to Asia, Agoda is worth looking into. It has some different properties and can even be cheaper than booking.com!

HostelWorld - if you’re really balling on a budget (AKA me most of the time) you can look into hostel world! Honestly, this is my favorite way to travel. No frills, just tons of potential friends, shared experiences, and good, old-fashioned fun. And a less empty wallet.

VRBO - Formally, I loved using Airbnb to book my travels. After a scammy host that towed our car in Split, I’ve since switched to VRBO! They have tons of properties, and I’ve never had a bad experience with any accommodation or host.

Travel Experiences

Viator - The best place to find unique experiences that will enhance your travels! I love taking small tours, it adds another layer to the adventure, and instead of just seeing sights you can take cooking classes, walking tours, boat rides, day trips, anything you can think of, Viator has.

Visas and passport photos

iVisa - The amount of times that I use their services in a year is actually ridiculous. While their visa assistance services are so handy, especially with countries that have a trickier process (I used them when traveling to India!), the service that I use the most is the passport photo service. Lots of countries use different dimensions for their visa applications, and iVisa has the option for any dimension. Upload your photo, send it to your nearest pharmacy, and never worry about getting turned away for lack of having a correctly sized passport photo. I used a million South Korea sized passport pictures in my process of teaching in South Korea, so I am GRATEFUL for their services.

TEFL certificate

ITTT - Do you dream of traveling the world and getting paid at the same time? Then teaching abroad is definitely something you should consider. Your TEFL certificate is the key to the world, and if you hit this link you can get 20% off of any course you choose. I’ve done the digging, and ITTT is the best TEFL certificate that you can get for the lowest amount of money. Click HERE to read more!
